Software Engineer - integrations (San Jose, CA)

Amberfield Wren Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around San Jose. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about caregiver training into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
