Software Engineer - integrations (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Bright Transit Planning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
