Software Engineer - integrations (Richmond, VA)

Harborlight Umber Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Richmond. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about cleaning schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
