Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Cedar Iron Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
