Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Cedar Forge Energy is an energy provider in Seattle focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
