Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Redstone Amber Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in St. Louis. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would join a large organisation of about 847 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
