Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Summit Junction Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Indianapolis area, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
