Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Redstone Forge Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Chicago focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
