Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Cedar Forge Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Seattle, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
