Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Wilder Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
