Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Fox Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
