Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Bright Ember Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Oakland and nearby communities. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would join a large organisation of about 601 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
