Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Foxglove Timber Insurance is an insurance company in Charleston with claims and service teams, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
