Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Bright Fox Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Rochester area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would join a large organisation of about 992 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
