Software Engineer - integrations (Portland, OR)

Foxglove Willow Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 139 people based in Portland. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
