Software Engineer - integrations (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Northwind West Transit Planning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would join a large organisation of about 777 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about ridership counts into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
