Software Engineer - integrations (Pittsburgh, PA)

Summit Orchard Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training. What you will do • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
