Software Engineer - integrations (Pittsburgh, PA)

Bright Ember Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Pittsburgh and nearby communities, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about meter reading into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
