Software Engineer - integrations (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Quill Transit Planning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about ridership counts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
