Software Engineer - integrations (Milwaukee, WI)

Harborlight Quarry Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 122 people based in Milwaukee. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Milwaukee, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
