Software Engineer - integrations (Louisville, KY)

Redstone Rook Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
