Software Engineer - integrations (Knoxville, TN)

Summit Kestrel Community Partners is a Knoxville charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with grant reporting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
