Software Engineer - integrations (Jacksonville, FL)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Vista Community Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Jacksonville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
