Software Engineer - integrations (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Keystone Telecom and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about service installations into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
