Software Engineer - integrations (Houston, TX)

Bright Vista Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 202 people based in Houston. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts.
