Software Engineer - integrations (Houston, TX)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Stone Energy Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Houston. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
