Software Engineer - integrations (Honolulu, HI)

Ironwood Beacon Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Honolulu area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
