Software Engineer - integrations (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Northwind Cross Energy and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would join a small organisation of about 187 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
