Software Engineer - integrations (Fresno, CA)

Bright Birch Energy Group is an energy provider in Fresno focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
