Software Engineer - integrations (El Paso, TX)

Silverline Mill Transit Planning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about fare systems into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
