Software Engineer - integrations (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Summit Haven Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about student accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
