Software Engineer - integrations (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Nest Community Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with grant reporting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
