Software Engineer - integrations (Columbus, OH)

Harborlight Orchard Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about fare systems into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
