Software Engineer - integrations (Chicago, IL)

Greenridge Bright Community Partners is a nonprofit in Chicago supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with grant reporting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
