Software Engineer - integrations (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Granite Learning Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Turn requests about student accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with student accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
