Software Engineer - integrations (Charleston, SC)

Cedar Beacon Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for meter reading, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about meter reading into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
