Software Engineer - integrations (Birmingham, AL)

Silverline Amber Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Birmingham. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on integrations. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
