Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Rochester, NY)

We are growing our team at Nova Summit Early Learning and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
