Senior UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Lumen Lantern Medical designs and makes medical devices in Providence. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around complaint handling that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in complaint handling. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
