Senior UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Summit Hollow Transit Planning Group is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in ridership counts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
