Senior UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

Redstone Juniper Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Philadelphia. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
