Senior UX Designer - research and testing (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Yarrow Transit Planning and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Tucson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
