Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Pittsburgh, PA)

Ironwood Loom Medical Group is a Pittsburgh company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around training materials that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in training materials. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
