Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Knoxville, TN)

Highbridge Stone Arts Center is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for volunteer programmes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
