Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Kansas City, MO)

Northwind Cobalt Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Kansas City. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in underwriting files. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
