Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Jackson, MS)

Bright Kestrel Community Partners is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on research and testing for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in client intake. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
