Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood North Early Learning Partners and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. You would join a large organisation of about 796 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in classroom supplies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
