Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Grand Rapids, MI)

Northwind Wilder Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Grand Rapids plant. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in bindery work. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
