Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Cedar Summit Early Learning Associates and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be research and testing. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
