Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Austin, TX)

Summit Harbor Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Austin presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our research and testing. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Austin. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
